About the Educational Institute on Aging

The Educational Institute on Aging (EIA) is a 501(c)(3) subsidiary foundation of LeadingAge Texas (formerly TAHSA). Established in 1984, EIA is dedicated to the promotion of a better understanding of aging and long-term care in Texas. The purpose of EIA is to offer educational and research opportunities for those who serve older people so that older people may benefit from appropriate and quality services. EIA's educational programs reach thousands of people per year. We touch a variety of disciplines including: administrators, nurses, social workers, activity professionals, nutrition & dining services staff, marketing professionals, and human resources staff. Partnerships and collaborations that focus on education or research on aging issues are the focus of EIA's board of directors. |
